
David M. Wray is the Managing Partner and joined the firm in 1987. He received his Bachelor of Laws degree from Queen's University at Kingston in 1985 and a B.A. (Hons.) in 1982. He is a registered Patent and Trade Mark Attorney, Notary Public, member of the Canadian Bar Association, and a Fellow of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. His law firm acts for clients in respect of their litigation matters.
Elizabeth Moore obtained her B.Sc. in Microbiology with First Class Honours from the University of Manchester, England in 1976. She qualified as a medical doctor in London in 1981 and practised in several teaching hospitals in the U.K. before being appointed Clinical Lecturer in Microbiology at the University of Bristol in 1985. Dr. Moore has published work in various aspects of microbiology and medicine and gained a research doctorate from the University of Bristol in 1995.
John Lamb obtained his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Durham, England before moving to Canada and qualifying as a Patent Agent in 1968. Prior to becoming associated with our firm, he was an Examiner in the Patent Office and a senior Patent Agent with the Department of National Defence as well as with other private practice firms.
Peter Lawrence obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leeds, England and worked as a development enginer in defence-related radar and missile-control systems for Plessey and The General Electric Company in the U.K. He joined the Canadian Patent Office in 1966 and worked as an Examiner in the areas of examination, classification, information retrieval systems and international affairs. He qualified as a Canadian Patent Agent in 1975. Prior to becoming associated with our firm, he was a Senior Officer in the Space Directorate in the Department of Industry.
R. William Wray founded the firm in 1974. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from London University, England and became a Chartered Electrical Engineer. Mr. Wray qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney (U.K.) in 1961 and later as a Patent and Trade Mark Agent in Canada. He worked with the British Broadcasting Corporation, Pye Ltd. (Cambridge), Decca Radar Ltd., and IBM (United Kingdom). In 1964, Mr. Wray joined a major Canadian patent and trade mark firm before forming a new firm with two other patent agents in 1967. Mr. Wray has now retired from active practice and acts as a consultant to the firm.
